Norgannon
The master architect who shaped Azeroth's mountains and carved the foundations of Ulduar.
Norgannon is one of the four great Titan keepers who arrived on Azeroth within the World-Soul to guide its development and protect it from the Old Gods. As the master architect and builder among his peers, he was responsible for shaping the physical geography of the planet, raising mountains, carving oceans, and constructing the vast underground halls that would later become home to the dwarves. Unlike his brothers who focused on magic or nature, Norgannon's domain was stone and structure. He spent eons forging the world's foundations before eventually withdrawing into slumber within Ulduar, leaving behind a legacy of immense engineering prowess that defines much of Azeroth's landscape today.

Lore & Background
When the Pantheon sent their avatars to Azeroth, Norgannon was tasked with the monumental job of physical construction. He did not merely move rocks; he sculpted the very crust of the planet, creating the majestic peaks of the Dragonblight and the deep valleys that would one day cradle civilizations. His work was precise and grand, designed to withstand the eons and serve as a fortress against the corruption of the Old Gods. His greatest achievement remains Ulduar, a massive citadel built beneath the ice of Northrend. Here, he gathered his creations—the giants and elementals—to serve as guardians. However, even Norgannon could not foresee the betrayal that would eventually shatter the unity of the Keepers. After the fall of Yogg-Saron's influence was temporarily contained, Norgannon retreated into a deep slumber within Ulduar, waiting for a time when his creations might once again need his guidance.
In Their Own Story
The silence in the Hall of Giants is absolute, broken only by the rhythmic thrumming of the World Pillar. In the shadows, where light from the surface never reaches, Norgannon stands motionless. His skin is not flesh, but polished granite and starlight, etched with runes that predate the first breath of a mortal. He watches over the sleeping forms of his children—the Stone Giants—his gaze heavy with the weight of eons. Though his body rests in stasis, his mind drifts through the bedrock, feeling the slow grind of tectonic plates and the distant, faint tremors of war above. He remembers the day he raised the mountains to block the sky, a memory as sharp as the chisel that carved them.
Reader's Guide
The history of Azeroth is written in stone, and Norgannon is its primary scribe. His influence extends far beyond the walls of Ulduar; every mountain range and canyon on the continent bears his mark. Scholars believe that the ancient dwarven cities found deep underground were built upon foundations laid by the Titan himself. The intricate machinery found in places like Ironforge or Deepholm suggests a direct lineage to Norgannon's engineering, passed down through generations of stone-working races. Cosmically, Norgannon represents the principle of Order and Structure within the chaotic universe. His existence counters the entropy of the Void, providing a stable framework for life to evolve. Without his initial shaping of the crust, Azeroth might have remained a molten husk, unable to support the complex ecosystems that now thrive.
