Following the fall of Argus, the titan keeper Magni Bronzebeard sensed that Azeroth was waking up from a long slumber. To protect the world's nascent consciousness and harness the Azerite bleeding from the wound caused by Sargeras' sword strike in Silithus, he forged this device in the Chamber of Heart, using the Crucible of Storms with the assistance of MOTHER. The artifact draws and channels Azerite—the crystallized blood of Azeroth—not directly from the planet's core, manifesting as swirling blue light that pulses with life. It was not central to the war between the Alliance and Horde as a faction-wide tool; instead, it was a unique item used by the player character under Magni's guidance. Magni acted as the speaker for Azeroth, as the Heart did not communicate directly. Eventually, the Heart proved capable of resonating with those attuned to it, offering guidance through Magni and revealing secrets about the world's history. However, its immense power attracted dark entities who wished to corrupt it, leading to further conflicts against N'Zoth and later the Jailer—Sargeras was already defeated and imprisoned before the Heart was created, and he was not a threat during Battle for Azeroth or Shadowlands. Despite these dangers, the amulet remains a testament to Azeroth’s resilience, symbolizing that the planet itself is a living entity capable of fighting back through its defenders.
